  • Question How can I build a cat hat for a grown-up woman? You will need to choose a piece of cloth that you like and purchase the necessary sewing materials. Make the fabric the same size as the cat’s head by measuring the cat’s head and cutting it to fit. Make a circle with your sewing machine and decorate it anyway you wish
  • Question Is it possible that you’ll create it and it won’t fit your cat? Answer from the CharlotteCommunity Make a whole new one. To begin, take measurements of the cat’s head and neck, and then use that information to create the crochet. Instead of the old hat, use it to make a doll or teddy bear out of it
  • Question Is it possible to build a YouTube video out of this? Answer from the CharlotteCommunity You can use this information to construct a cat hat of your own, but you will need to provide proper credit to the author of the post and the site where you found it. If you ever manufacture something, you must provide a list of all of the materials you used. Alternatively, you might state it at the beginning of the video, or include it in the description
  • Question Is it possible to make this for my dog? Is there another pattern that I should follow? Amara OkudohAnswer from the Community Yes, you will just need to crochet Step 4 for a longer period of time in order to obtain a larger size. Then go to Step 5 as you normally would. The pattern should work as long as you have a little dog, in which case you may use the cat pattern.

  • Test the hat on your cat to see how long the chin strap should be
  • Mark the area and cut off any excess yarn, leaving an inch to tie it loosely
  • Repeat the process with the other ear hole.

My desire to construct a cat ear hat has been on my mind for quite some time now, and I’m not really sure why. It simply seemed like a decent idea at the time. I finally got around to it last week, and I believe I was correct in my assessment.

  • Guys, this hat is a lot of fun to wear.
  • I’m referring to the fact that I certainly enjoy a nice (or even a poor) pun every now and again.
  • If you do, I will upload it for you.) I used some amazing yarn that I got up at Michaels about a year or two ago.
  • I really like the tweed-like appearance it has when crocheted, and the gold is almost ideal — shiny and lively, but yet subtle and not overpowering in any way.

  • The yarn I used was Isaac Mizrahi Craft Carlyle Yarn in Roosevelt, which is no longer available but is on the lighter side of the Super Bulky category. It is possible that you will need to change your hook and the pattern if you use a thicker “super bulky” yarn
  • Please read my remarks on this in the design.) Alternatively, two strands of Size 4 worsted weight yarn held together would suffice. Hook, size L (8.0 mm) (modify hook size if necessary to accommodate yarn)

Crochet Cat Hat Video Tutorial

Row 1: Make a row of foundation single crochet that is approximately 11′′ (28 cm) long and join it together. I required 23 fsc to complete the project using the Isaac Mizrahi Craft yarn. I just required 21 fsc using Lion Brand Wool Ease ThickQuick and a L hook for this project. The fsc stitch can be substituted by chaining the necessary number of times and working single crochet (sc) in each ch across the length of the row instead. (Note: If you want a shorter, beanie-style hat rather of the longer, slouch-style hat, you will need a shorter row of just 9-10 inches.) Row 2: Ch 2, turn.

  1. Working exclusively in the back loops, hdc in each stitch across the row.
  2. After a few rows, it should reduce from around 11′′ to approximately 10′′.
  3. With the Isaac Mizrahi yarn, I was able to complete this project in around 33 rows.
  4. It should be folded in half widthwise, and single crochet stitches should be worked through both short ends to make a tube.
  5. Finish by weaving in all of the loose ends.
  6. After that, we’ll add a brim to the bottom of the hat to finish it off.
  7. It took me around 45 scs to complete the whole circle.

The first round of the brim is completed.

Rnd 3:Ch 1, sc in each stitch around.

Rnd 3: Ch 2, working solely in the back loops, hdc in each stitch around the perimeter.

Rnd 4:Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, working just in back loops.

To attach the pieces, slip stitch them together.

After that, we’ll create the ear canals.

Pulling on the ends will help to tighten up the ear form.

That’s all there is to it!

You may pull it back a little and the ears will be a little lower, as shown below: Alternatively, you may fold the brim up and arrange the ears on top of your head.

Isn’t it a good time?

Cat Crochet Witch Hat Pattern – Easy and Free

This free crochet design is for a witch hat for cats that is both adorable and functional. This pattern is built entirely out of single crochet stitches with WeCrochet’s Brava yarn, which you can find here. If you knew how much I adore hats, you might also know how much I adore cats! I have two adorable cats, a 13-year-old guy named Yokie and a 12-year-old girl named Lilly, who are also my companions. We used to have a second cat, but Nibbles, our beloved 7-year-old tabby male, went away unexpectedly last year.

Such that the approaching Fall season and forthcoming Halloween festivities inspired me to create a witch hat for each of the children involved.

Cat Crochet Hat Pattern

I believe I’ve been seduced. HAHA! Because I enjoy crocheting hats and, of course, because I adore my cats, I am confident that you will see more cat hat patterns in the not-too-distant future. What do you want to see on the screen next? Is it a Santa hat? Please feel free to contact me by email or by leaving a comment below. Is there a difference between crocheting cat hats and making regular crochet hats? Yes, to a certain extent. They are, of course, much smaller in size and frequently have holes in them for the ears to peek through.

No, in fact, it isn’t.

It’s important to remember that not all cats enjoy having anything placed on their heads, and that it should be simple for them to remove it if they decide to do so.

Adult Crochet Cat Hat

Because this crochet cat hat was so adorable, I had to make an adult version of it. With double crochets making up the majority of the hat, as well as a faux-ribbing pattern down the bottom, you can make an adult cat hat in a matter of minutes! For my adult cat cap, I also used a thicker weight of yarn. The finished size is 19 inches in circumference and 8 inches in height. Materials

  • As soon as I saw this crocheted cat hat, I knew I wanted to create one for myself. In this adult cat hat, I’ve used a slightly different hat design, with double crochets covering the majority of the hat and a faux-ribbing pattern running down the sides. For my adult cat cap, I also chose a thicker weight yarn. Size when completed: 19 inches in circumference and 8 inches in height. Materials

  4. I just had to say something (since I’ve somehow managed to become known as the “cat woman” around here!)… My “collection” now stands at seven kittens, with two additional litters of five and three kittens each. Because everyone in this little town knows that I take care of unwanted kids, the top of the hill has become a popular site for people to dump their unwanted children… It was on my way home from the supermarket that I came across a baby who was around 5 weeks old and starving to death in the middle of the road, where she had just given up and waited to die… I brought her to me in the wheelchair that I had brought from the store… Phoebe is really fantastic right now! I couldn’t help but giggle at the faces on the cat models, particularly 1718… Just not a big fan of the “hat thing” in general! I crocheted crochet bunny ears for each of them for an Easter photo shoot one year, and I noticed the same eye daggers staring at me from a couple of my Easter bunnies at the time…such exaggerated feelings of dignity! They are, nonetheless, magnificent creatures. Hello, Kimberly. Thanks for letting me know you liked the photos. Despite the fact that I assert that cats adore hats, I cannot prove it. Unfortunately, the majority of the models imply differently. Your kittens are really fortunate to have you as a neighbor
  5. I’ve crocheted a couple hats for my own cats as a thank you. I must admit that they do not adore them in the same way that I do,lol. I’ll keep making them hats till they’re at least satisfied with the results… correct

Cats in Hats: 30 Knit and Crochet Hat Patterns for Your Kitty: Thomas, Sara: 9780762456635: Amazon.com: Books

On January 13, 2017, a review was conducted in the United States. Purchase that has been verified What a lovely, wonderful, adorable technique to make your cat feel embarrassed! Seriously, your cat is probably going to despise you for purchasing this book, but you’re going to adore it, believe me (if you like working with fiber). Alternatively, you could have an older, more laid-back cat who isn’t bothered by wearing headwear. I have a cat like that, and I also have a cat who will not allow me to go close to him when wearing a hat, but he is still young and will soon realize the advantages of being an elderly, sleepy, hat-wearing cat.

  1. It’s also hilarious (and adorable) to see your cat sporting one of these hats.
  2. It was really worth it!
  3. Some cats have small heads, while others have large, obnoxious heads.
  4. Keep in mind that it is NOT tough in any way.
  5. These are tiny tasks that require only a little amount of work to get just right for your kitty’s size.
  6. This is an excellent book for beginners or casual crafters.
  7. I built these hats for a family Christmas picture session, and the majority of my pals thought they were hilarious.

Ensure that your kitties live happily ever after.

You may utilize the main design to create your own, and your feline pals will be begging you to lend them one of these.

Purchase that has been verified I came upon a photo of a crocheted frog cap and clicked on the link to learn more about the book.

However, it turns out that the Dino and chicken hats are knit patterns, and I do not knit.

If there was more information regarding which patterns were knit and which were crocheted, I would be more interested.

On August 28, 2019, a verified purchase was reviewed in the United States of America.

If your cat is between medium and big in size, you should use the “large” foundation hat rather than the “small” base hat suggested in the designs.

If you stick to the basic patterns, there’s plenty of potential for creativity.

Now he’s fine to leave it on, acknowledging that it’s just one of the ridiculous games his mother enjoys playing with him.

Purchased in the United States on October 17, 2018 and reviewed on October 17, 2018Verified Purchase Despite the fact that I was excited to crochet the cat hats in this book, I was disappointed by the lack of clarity in the directions for each project.

In my opinion, it was a complete waste of money to purchase.

Purchase that has been verified These patterns are adorable, and the instructions are easy to follow.

Getting a cat to wear a hat is far more difficult than getting the cat to wear it.

One cat hesitantly agreed to pose for a photograph long enough to capture the moment.

On November 2, 2017, P Maines published an article.

They do appear to be designed for rather little cats; I had to raise the size of the hat to make it large enough to accommodate my cats from ear to ear.

Making the cap, on the other hand, is much simpler.

The photographs in this review On May 19, 2017, a reviewer in the United States confirmed that they had made a purchase.

The package was delivered on time.

I really like these caps.

I’m going to make all of these as soon as I find out how to do it.

8-25-17 I’ve already created a couple of them.

After you’ve learned how to read a pattern, they aren’t too tough to complete. The boys look just adorable in their cowboy and shark hats. And everyone will want one for their four-legged friends as well. I have not attempted to make the design larger yet.

4.0 stars out of 5 for this product To knit or crochet is a choice. The product was reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 25, 2015 and was verified as a purchase. The designs should have been written for both knitters and crocheters, but they weren’t. Because I do not knit, I am only able to utilize slightly more than half of the patterns in the book. I’m hoping that because the fundamental hat pattern is the same throughout, I’ll be able to figure out how to do the knitted top sections in crochet, as my favorite ones are now done in knitting.

Almost all of the hats are made from the same pattern, with minor differences from one another.

On September 8, 2015, a review was published in the United Kingdom, and the purchase was verified.

It’s both amusing and endearing.

It’s also an excellent way to use up scraps of yarn that you may have lying around.
